On the first day of summer, June 21, Coventry like 300 other cities of the World will embrace “the musical fever “. Participate in the vibrant sounds and beats of Fête de la Musique – the Worldwide Music Day!

Fête de la Musique had its premiere in 1982 in France. Today it is a significant, international artistic event celebrated in five continents. Every year on June 21, many music institutions, concert halls, opera houses, theaters, music schools, pubs, clubs and cafes organize free public concerts, during which the audience can get acquainted with a variety of sounds, cultures, and styles. On 21 June 2016 Coventry, for the first time, will resound with music!

Are you a musician? Do you want to add your pub, a cafe, a venue to the programme? Get in touch with us! The event is coordinated by the Culturae Mundi project at Coventry University.

Once again, we encourage you to participate in the event. We are awaiting applications from both the owners of venues and from artists who would like to take part in the Festival! We offer marketing services and support with matching owners of the places with artists.
