2017 is the year of the Rooster!

Culturae Mundi is pulling out all the stops this year as we have a series of social events to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Over the course of two weeks (23 January – 3 February) there are several workshops being held during the course of two weeks.

Introduction to Chinese Movies Workshop
Led by one of Mandarin teachers in the CI, this workshop offers a
short introduction into some of China’s most famous directors
and actors as well as looking at common styles and themes
within these films. Join this workshop for interesting discussions,
quizzes and more.

Come along to this exciting event which looks
at questions and ideas around Chinese culture,
language and research and includes interesting talks
and discussions from distinguished academics
across the UK, including Key Note speaker

Floating Home Series-A journey to an unknown step
Floating Home Series is a cluster of 7 short documentaries
to reveal the everyday life of the Ethnic Chinese immigrants
mainly from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mainland China in Britain.
The series follows 7 families in each episode
and documented their UK dwelling.
